Snowboard Design

Snowboard Design

Here is another 2D illustrator assignment, and one that I really enjoyed doing!
The briefing was:

Overview
A leading Snowboard manufacturer has commissioned a series of snow board designs for next
winter’s snowboard season.

They have a strong brand presence but would like to branch out into more non-mainstream board
design. They like the idea of their boards being purchased as functional art.

They are looking to be the leaders in original and limited snowboard design through new, original
and edgy designs.

You have been selected to design a single or a series of boards utilizing the front and back of
the board.

They also have an idea to use these designs as pop up branding in their store. They would like to
project the boards onto a screen in the store. With this in mind think about how visually
stimulating the boards will be on screen and printed on the board.

Market:
16-30 age groups
Male and female
High end price range (color and graphics no restrictions)

Understanding the briefing I decided to go a little abstract and work with shapes.
Here is my final result:

11 Nov 2010

As the first assignment for 2D illustration on Term 2, we were requested to make a self-portrait using Illustrator. Here is mine!

People said that it really looks like me….
So, mission acomplished! lol

Another Blog? (+ First Motion Assignment)

03 Nov 2010

Well, yeah!

I know, I know… I have many already but this one was requested as an assignment here at VFS for Term 2. So I’ll keep this up and post everything related to works I do here and also keep track of side works. And to start blogging here is the first motion piece I did here: “On a new Terroir”

We received the follow dialog and we were supposed to do whatever we wanted but without changing it:

INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
STEVE, mid-30’s, sits on a chair reading. Janet enters.

STEVE
How’s your mother doing?
JANET
Fine. She’s fine.
STEVE
Glad to hear it, because you seem preoccupied.
JANET
Well, I mean, she’s doing as well as possible under the circumstances.
STEVE
It’s good of you to go. Lots of traffic?
JANET
No.
STEVE
Did you make a stop?
JANET
Yeah, I picked something up on the way home.
STEVE
Oh, do you want me to help you get it from the car?
JANET
No, no, I’ll get it. You read.
She turns toward the door.
STEVE
By the way, your mother called. She was worried because she hadn’t seen
you for a while.
Their eyes meet.

Hope you’ll like it!
